HR Responsibilities: (30%)
Position Title: HR & Administrative Coordinator
Location: North Kansas City, MO
Duration: 6months W2 contract with high possibility of full-time conversion based on performance and depending on business needs
Shift Timing: Monday - Friday | Flexible hours (Typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Must-Have Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- SAP experience is preferred.
HR Responsibilities: (30%)
- Support compliance with AIMS, ISO9001, and ISO45001 policies and standards.
- Coordinate pre-hire requirements and manage the new hire onboarding process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating on-site interviews.
- Coordinate orientation for all new employees.
- Arrange pre-employment testing and background screenings.
- Assign employee IDs (A), order FR uniforms, assign lockers, and coordinate workspace setup.
- Provide computer access, email accounts, and required software.
- Set up hourly employees for biometric timeclock/payroll.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, direct deposit, tax forms, and other HR documentation.
- Provide daily support to ensure smooth onboarding experience.
- Support NKC leadership with AIMS Element 2 documentation for HR audits and compliance.
- Coordinate Dashboard Pillar 6 (People Systems) activities.
- Coordinate community relations events under the guidance of the NKC Leadership Team.
- Serve as the site's Wellness Champion.
- Coordinate tuition reimbursement paperwork.
- Process administrative billing for HR vendors (e.g., TalentWise, WorkSpend).
- Provide administrative support for social media postings on ANNA and Facebook.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and work closely with the Regional HR Manager.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salary non-exempt employees.
- Maintain HR data and generate reports using SAP HRMS.
- Maintain HR files, including I-9 and E-Verify documentation.
- Support SAP requisitioning and invoice processing across the site.
- Prepare and release blankets and individual requisitions through SAP.
- Order miscellaneous office and maintenance supplies using a P-Card.
- Provide general administrative support to office personnel.
- Organize plant meetings and site events, including facility and catering arrangements.
- Serve as the Document Control Administrator for SharePoint, eDMS, physical library, and W: drive.
- Coordinate meals and catering for meetings, training sessions, and special events.
- Document weekly, monthly, and other NKC team meetings (IMPACT).
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, contractors, solicitors, and incoming calls.
- Manage small capital projects related to office and site upgrades.
- Manage site visitors and provide safety training in the absence of the HESQ Specialist
- Serve as the primary backup to the HESQ Specialists.
- Perform weekly inspections and maintain documentation for:
- RCRA satellite accumulation areas
- 90-day hazardous waste areas
- Eyewash stations
- Safety showers
- Emergency shelters
- Spill kits
- Conduct monthly inspections and restocking of First Aid kits.
- Perform monthly inspections and documentation for:
- AEDs
- Fire extinguishers
- Maintain inventory of PPE and other safety supplies for the HES department.
- Miscellaneous Responsibilities (10%)
