Position Summary:The surgical technician will work alongside the perioperative registered nurse as part of a team to provide tailored, age-appropriate care to patients. This role involves maintaining a safe environment that promotes positive patient outcomes and ensuring that patients' physiological responses during surgery align with expectations in the surgical suite and throughout the perioperative division.
Qualifications:Essential:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in scrubbing for various service lines, including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make calls, demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and work independently
- Certification as a Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) is required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is required
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Availability for every other weekend and holidays
- Part-time position
