Pediatric Registered Dietitian II- Cardiac/PECAN (Part-time) - Temp

The Pediatric Cardiac Nutrition (PECAN) Program is an extensive, multidisciplinary initiative established within our organization’s Heart Center. This center stands as the largest pediatric cardiac program in the nation, featuring a team of 12 cardiac surgeons and nearly 100 cardiologists. With close to 30 specialized programs, we are equipped to provide tailored care for each patient. The PECAN program is jointly led by Dr. Kimberly Mills, a pediatric cardiac intensivist, and Dr. Paul “McGreggor” Crowley, a nutrition specialist in the Division of Gastroenterology. This program is dedicated to identifying and delivering personalized nutritional support for at-risk patients. We are currently looking for a full-time registered dietitian to improve care delivery in our prehabilitation program, temporary enteral access discharge and weaning program, and malnutrition clinic.

This role requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, spread across four weekdays. It is a hybrid position, with specific onsite and remote workdays to be determined based on team requirements. This is a temporary role expected to last until January 2027, with the possibility of becoming permanent if there are available openings within the team.

• Delivering nutritional care to patients in designated inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Assessing medical, biochemical, and nutritional data to evaluate patient needs and create effective nutrition care plans.
• Assisting in overseeing the daily activities of the dietetic technician.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics.

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Dietetics, including at least 2 years focused on pediatric nutrition.

• Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing body of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Licensure as a Dietitian in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
