Job Summary
We are seeking a PC Board Designer IV for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA supporting complex aerospace and defense electronics programs. This role is ideal for an experienced printed circuit board designer who enjoys detailed technical work, close collaboration with electrical engineering teams, and contributing to high-reliability products used in advanced aircraft, surveillance, and defense-related systems.
This onsite position offers the opportunity to work in a structured, engineering-driven environment with supportive leadership, strong technical standards, and a collaborative team culture. The PC Board Designer IV will have the autonomy to develop complex PCB layouts with limited supervision while also contributing ideas, identifying design improvements, and supporting less experienced designers when needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop complex printed circuit board schematics, layouts, drawings, and related assembly details using PADS Power PCB and PADS Power Logic.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering teams to interpret schematics, part lists, sketches, design notes, and board function requirements.
- Validate PCB designs for conformity to internal standards, ANSI Y4.15 drawing principles, IPC Standards, and project specifications.
- Identify design errors, recommend improvements, and provide practical technical solutions for complex products and components.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, archive design files according to configuration control procedures, and coordinate with PCB vendors.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced PCB designers and support staff as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $49.00 to $59.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Duration: 6 months to start, with the goal of hire if performance and business needs align.
- Workstyle: 100 percent onsite in Poway, CA.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, 1st shift, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexible.
- Extended hours may be required as business needs arise.
