Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components and assemblies with precision and adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of electronics assembly, electrical schematics, and surface mount technology, contributing to the production of high-quality electro-mechanical products. Duties Perform soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using hand tools, soldering irons, and power tools in accordance with IPC 610 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and wiring of electrical panels and electro-mechanical components. Assemble mechanical parts and electronic components following detailed blueprint specifications while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct electrical testing using tools such as ohmmeters and calipers to verify proper connections, continuity, and component placement. Troubleshoot engineering issues related to solder joints, wiring faults, or component failures through systematic analysis. Assist in the building of electrical panels by wiring components according to schematics and schematics documentation. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following manufacturing procedures to ensure quality control throughout the assembly process. Skills Extensive experience with PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), and electrical wiring techniques. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings with accuracy. Strong knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. Skilled in using hand tools such as soldering irons, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters for precise work. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and perform mechanical assembly when required. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electro-mechanical components is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with mechanical knowledge for effective engineering troubleshooting. Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement. Knowledge of machining processes can be advantageous for component preparation or modifications.
