Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of an interdisciplinary team, comprising both licensed and unlicensed caregivers, dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality, and safe patient care to patients, families, and significant others. This role operates within a clinical setting overseen by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our organization’s Shared Governance Model. The practice framework is guided by our Professional Practice Model, along with evidence-based practices and research. RN competencies are derived from these frameworks and are aligned with our core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practice standards as defined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. They must implement the Scope of Practice and the Code of Ethics established by the American Nurses Association. As integral members of the patient services team, individuals are expected to advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and procedures and supporting our service excellence goals.

Required Minimum Education
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
  • All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless specified otherwise.
  • RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact
  • BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
Required Minimum Experience
  • Less than 1 year of experience after completing an accredited nursing program with required clinical hours.
  • Direct patient care experience - Preferred
