Job Description:

Our nursing staff operates within collaborative settings alongside strong interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach in a diverse work environment. Under the guidance and general oversight of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse employs evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical team. Utilizing their knowledge and skills, the registered nurse applies the nursing process to create a care plan that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of both patients and their families.

Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • Familiarity with the nursing process and principles of customer service.
    • National certification in a specialty area is preferred.
    • Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
    • IV skills are preferred.
    • Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current certification in BLS or completion within the first three months of employment.
    • ACLS is required for Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endoscopy.
    • ACLS is strongly recommended for staff cross-trained in these areas.
    • NNR is required for Obstetrics.
  • Qualifications:
    • Must hold a current CT RN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
