Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, BCHNP, TAP Program 20 hrs.

Our organization operates a school-based behavioral health initiative within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. This program emphasizes prevention strategies that are adaptable, culturally sensitive, and grounded in evidence. We collaborate with educational institutions and districts to develop and maintain comprehensive behavioral health frameworks that enhance the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success of students, families, staff, and the broader school community. This role is part of the Training and Access Project (TAP), which partners with Boston Public Schools and other educational communities across Massachusetts and the nation to enhance capacity in social-emotional learning and behavioral health through professional development and consultation. It is important to note that this position does not involve direct clinical services to students; instead, it focuses on providing professional development and consultation to various school communities.

• Creating, leading, and assessing professional development programs for educational professionals in Boston and surrounding areas.
• Collaborating and actively participating as a member of the TAP team.
• Designing and co-facilitating both live and virtual workshops, as well as asynchronous video content, on topics related to social-emotional and behavioral health tailored to the needs of school-based behavioral health providers, educators, and school staff.
• Receiving guidance and coaching in the development and facilitation of workshops for school audiences.
• Creating supplementary resources and materials to enhance training sessions.
• Additionally, there may be opportunities to consult with schools and districts on professional learning and to conduct workshops for community organizations.

• Education: A Master’s degree in social work is required.

• Experience:
  • A minimum of several years of experience in social work within the school-based behavioral health sector is essential, with a preference for candidates having over 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in diverse urban school environments is highly valued.
  • Proven track record in designing and facilitating professional development, teaching, presenting, or co-facilitating training sessions for K–12 audiences, with a strong commitment to developing materials and training through a lens of social justice and equity.
  • Interest or experience in a macro role focused on developing training across various formats, including in-person and online.
  • Excellent writing, facilitation, and communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, effectively communicating with others to address challenges and achieve project goals.

While the schedule is flexible, attendance on Wednesdays is mandatory.
