\n Job Summary\n
\n
\n As a Field Mechanic IV, you will perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on construction equipment and light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles. You'll work independently at customer jobsites, respond to emergency service calls, complete accurate repair documentation, and maintain a safe, organized service truck. \n
\n
\n Responsibilities\n
\n
    \n
  • Diagnose and repair construction equipment and fleet vehicles at customer jobsites.
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and gasoline-powered systems.
  • \n
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs using SMAW and MIG processes.
  • \n
  • Complete preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
  • \n
  • Operate diagnostic software and equipment to identify mechanical issues.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate work orders and repair documentation.
  • \n
  • Operate a service truck crane safely when handling equipment and components.
  • \n
  • Perform daily service truck inspections.
  • \n
  • Follow OSHA and MSHA safety requirements.
  • \n
  • Respond promptly to emergency field service calls.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck.

\n Qualifications\n
\n
\n Required\n
\n
    \n
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
  • \n
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • \n
  • Diesel and gasoline engine repair experience.
  • \n
  • Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic software.
  • \n
  • OSHA 10 Construction certification.
  • \n
  • SMAW and MIG welding certification.
  • \n
  • Must supply your own mechanic tools.
  • \n
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • \n
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and driver approval process.
  • \n
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • \n
\n
\n Preferred\n
\n
    \n
  • ASE Master Technician or multiple ASE certifications.
  • \n
  • CAT, Cummins, or Detroit Diesel diagnostic experience.
  • \n
  • MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 certification.
  • \n
  • CDL Class A or B license.
  • \n
  • Experience operating service truck cranes.
  • \n
