This onsite, contract position offers the chance to work in a collaborative educational environment near Hartford, CT, focusing exclusively on conducting evaluations without any counseling responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist is required
  • Experience performing a variety of psychoeducational and behavioral assessments within school settings
  • Comfortable working exclusively with evaluations, with no direct counseling or therapy services
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills for producing detailed, actionable reports
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, administrators, and families
  • Familiarity with legal and ethical standards relevant to school psychological services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational, cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments for students (all ages PK-12, as assigned)
  • Prepare clear, organized reports and assessment documentation to inform IEP teams and support student planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education personnel, and parents to ensure assessment data assists in the development of appropriate educational interventions
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and present findings with professionalism and clarity
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines regarding special education evaluation processes
  • Complete evaluations within timely deadlines, supporting students and staff throughout the academic year
