Job Title: Special Procedure Technologist

Status: Part-Time

Shift: Evening

Compensation: $43.63 - $54.55 per hour

Pay Transparency:

The stated hourly wage range represents the expected pay for this role in New Jersey. The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Job Overview:

This position involves supporting the nursing and physician teams by managing technical aspects of daily operations. The role includes assisting the Electrophysiology team with the preparation, execution, and completion of procedures such as ablations and cardiac implants. The technologist will ensure that quality control and assurance standards are met while prioritizing patient comfort during procedures in the electrophysiology lab.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current and valid ARRT and NJ DEP licenses.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in radiology is preferred.
  • Experience in Procedural Interventional Radiology is preferred.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience.
  • Experience in Procedural Interventional Radiology.
Scheduling Requirements:
  • This position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist in organizing the daily work schedule and preparing the procedure rooms.
  • Work closely with physicians to ensure accurate orders, x-ray requests, and lab results.
  • Manage technical exposure factors using both digital and conventional equipment to minimize radiation exposure for patient safety and comfort.
  • Program digital computers, film stands, and contrast injectors as needed.
  • Ensure radiation safety and protection, and coordinate ongoing education.
