Lab Technician
PR: $32/hr
12-month contract
On-site, 40 hours/week
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical testing to support research, development, application engineering, and quality control activities.
- Conduct laboratory analyses and experiments following established procedures and methods.
- Compile, analyze, interpret, and document test results.
- Identify issues or abnormalities during testing and escalate or seek guidance as needed.
- Operate and maintain laboratory and testing equipment.
- Support product and process development through data collection and analysis.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a self-directed team environment.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry, documentation, reporting, and analysis.
- Manage workload effectively while meeting project and testing deadlines.
Must-Haves
- Experience working in a laboratory, scientific, technical, or engineering environment.
- Strong chemistry, biology, physical science, or related technical background.
- Ability to perform and document laboratory analyses accurately.
- Experience compiling, analyzing, and interpreting experimental or test data.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues during testing.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Computer literacy and experience using laboratory software and reporting systems.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, methods, and safety protocols.
- Mechanical and chemical aptitude.
- Understanding of scientific and engineering principles.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and contribute effectively within a team setting.

- Hands-on experience with:
- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS)
- Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzers
- Chemistry laboratory experience.
- Microbiology coursework or laboratory experience.
- Industrial filtration experience.
- Water filtration, water treatment, or water analysis experience.
- Knowledge of chemical handling, laboratory safety, and hazardous materials.
- Coursework or expertise in:
- Physical Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Inorganic Chemistry
- Fluid Dynamics
- Thermodynamics
- Experience supporting research, product development, or advanced quality control initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements or new product opportunities.
- History of technical leadership, innovation, or significant contributions to scientific or engineering projects.
- Experience generating technically sound recommendations and solving complex technical problems.
