Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, BCHNP, School Based Clinician 40 hrs.

Position Overview

Our organization is proud to introduce a school-based behavioral health initiative within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. This program is dedicated to prevention strategies that are adaptable, culturally sensitive, and grounded in evidence. We collaborate with educational institutions and districts to develop and maintain comprehensive behavioral health frameworks that enhance the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success of students, families, staff, and the broader school community.

We are currently looking for a full-time clinical consultant to deliver systems-level consultation, professional development, and capacity-building support to school districts. This role involves working closely with district leaders and school teams to fortify infrastructure, improve cross-sector collaboration, and establish sustainable systems that foster student well-being and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the BCHNP team and district/school teams to implement and assess a behavioral health consultation model within schools.
• Act as the designated clinical consultant and main point of contact for four school districts (full-time) or two school districts (part-time).
• Offer systems-level consultation and ongoing support both on-site and virtually to school leaders and teams, enhancing infrastructure, teamwork practices, and sustainable implementation efforts.
• Co-create, facilitate, and evaluate professional development sessions for school professionals, utilizing a framework that encourages shared learning, reflection, and ongoing improvement.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, ensuring effective communication, alignment of objectives, and responsiveness to the needs of schools and districts.

Minimum QualificationsEducation

• Master’s degree in social work.

Experience

• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in school-based behavioral health is essential, with a strong background in serving diverse communities, including rural, suburban, and urban districts of various sizes. Familiarity with educational settings and school infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as the primary liaison collaborating with multiple schools and districts.
• Experience in providing systems-level consultation to school leaders, multidisciplinary teams, and district leadership on behavioral health, social-emotional learning, academics, and systems-level implementation is ideal.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in designing and facilitating professional development for K–12 audiences, with a strong commitment to equity and social justice in training content.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with clear and strategic communication skills to solve problems and advance multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Licensure

• LICSW in MA is required.
