University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking an Academic Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join its rapidly expanding Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This is a rare opportunity to join and help shape a growing academic division that is actively investing heavily in inpatient services, faculty expansion, advanced clinical programs, expanding facilities, and long-term infrastructure growth and development. As inpatient demand continues to increase, UTMB leadership has identified GI hospitalist recruitment as a top strategic priority.
\n\nThe successful candidate will join a collegial faculty team dedicated to exceptional patient care, education, and academic excellence while helping create a sustainable inpatient care model that supports both patient access and faculty success. Leadership is open to creative scheduling structures, including heavily inpatient-focused practice models and block scheduling for physicians who prefer hospital-based medicine.

Candidate Qualifications

- MD or DO \n
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology \n
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure \n
- Interest in academic medicine, inpatient GI care, and medical education \n
