Clinical Social Worker, Endocrine 20 hours

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time social worker (20 hours per week) to deliver a variety of clinical social work services at our Thyroid Center. This center is among the first and largest in the nation dedicated solely to the treatment and care of children with thyroid disorders. Primary Responsibilities

• Provide multidisciplinary care for children and adolescents facing thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, which includes initial assessments, diagnostic imaging, surgical interventions, ongoing cancer care, and psychosocial support throughout their journey.
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations, offer individual and family support for coping, crisis intervention, and assist with resource navigation, utilizing both in-person and telehealth methods.
• Work collaboratively with the thyroid team to address psychosocial challenges such as coping with medical diagnoses, treatment adherence issues, family distress related to health conditions, parenting concerns, trauma, child protection matters, and domestic violence.
• Assist patients and families in accessing services and resources both within our organization and externally.
• Initiate and develop new programs aimed at supporting patients and their families within the Thyroid Center.
• Collaborate with the Endocrine Mental Health Team to meet endocrine coverage requirements.

QualificationsEducation

• Master’s degree in social work.

Experience

• Preferred experience in social work within a medical setting and familiarity with child protection issues.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Licensure/Certification

• LCSW licensure in Massachusetts is required; LICSW is preferred.

Additional Information

New hires will receive a sign-on bonus of $2,500. This role is also eligible for part-time benefits.
