Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time social worker (20 hours per week) to deliver a variety of clinical social work services to children and families within the Center for Airway Disorders (CAD) program. This role will primarily be based at our main Boston facility, with potential responsibilities at our Waltham location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting psychosocial evaluations and creating intervention and treatment plans in partnership with the multidisciplinary CAD team during outpatient clinic sessions.
  • Offering social work assistance to patients and their families coping with new or ongoing health conditions, addressing emotional challenges, and linking families to necessary resources within the hospital or their local communities.
  • Collaborating with the team to provide essential documentation, such as school letters and letters of medical necessity, as required.
  • Encouraging the development of the program, as this is a newly established position.
  • Participating in regular program meetings and weekly rounds is highly encouraged.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
  • A master’s degree in social work is mandatory.
Experience
  • A minimum of two years of social work experience is required, with preference given to candidates with experience in a medical environment.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Licensure/Certifications
  • LICSW licensure is required in the state of Massachusetts.
