Step into a pivotal role supporting middle school students during a maternity leave assignment as a School Psychologist. This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite in a dedicated educational environment near Aurora, IL. You will engage directly with students, collaborate closely with educators, and provide critical psychological services that help shape young learners’ growth and success.

This full-time assignment is set from October 1, 2026, through December 2026, allowing you to make a meaningful impact during a key portion of the academic year. As part of a supportive school community, you’ll work with a varied caseload of middle school students, conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and facilitating positive learning outcomes.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Active School Psychologist licensure in Illinois
  • Professional experience in a school-based setting, particularly with middle school age students
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling abilities
  • Expertise in developing effective, data-driven interventions
  • Collaborative approach to working with teachers, peers, and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and commitment to work full time, onsite, throughout the assignment

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct student evaluations to identify learning and behavioral needs
  • Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to develop support strategies
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and help develop appropriate educational plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation
  • Support a positive and inclusive school culture
