Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated OB/GYN to become part of our esteemed and thriving practice, which has been serving the community for over 25 years. This opening arises as one of our long-standing partners transitions to be closer to family. Currently, our team consists of 7 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers (APPs). The incoming physician will benefit from an established and expanding patient base.
We are equipped with three in-house ultrasound machines and a team of highly skilled sonographers. To enhance both clinician and patient experiences, we offer a variety of in-office procedures, which have been increasing in recent years.
Practice Overview- Our practice caters to Durango, which has a population of around 20,000, as well as the broader Four Corners region.
- We draw patients from diverse rural communities across Southwest Colorado, Northern New Mexico, and Southeastern Utah.
- Our facilities include a regional medical center adjacent to our medical office building and an outpatient surgery center.
- We have 12 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) rooms, a dedicated C-section room, and we conduct approximately 700 deliveries annually.
- We also provide support for a skilled midwifery practice.
- The hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology for minimally invasive surgeries, including the latest Da Vinci robotic system.
- We offer comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including high-risk obstetrics, and support a level 2 nursery with perinatology services.
Due to our sustained growth, we are excited to announce the construction of a new medical office building in collaboration with two partner practices. This new location will allow us to expand our capabilities and services for our patients in the coming year!
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule of 1:7.
- Engage in both OB and GYN visits, with a balanced caseload.
- Perform in-office procedures and surgeries as needed.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Four-day work week with one designated day for operating room time.
