LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client to identify a Billing Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Downtown Cincinnati. This position is ideal for an experienced billing professional who thrives in a project-driven environment and enjoys collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.

Our client specializes in complex, project-based work and is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong customer invoicing experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with Project Managers, reviewing purchase order details, and managing billing processes from project initiation through invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process detailed customer invoices for project-based work and professional services engagements

• Review contracts, purchase orders, project documentation, and billing requirements to ensure invoice accuracy

• Partner closely with Project Managers to track project progress, gather billing information, and resolve discrepancies

• Monitor project milestones and billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing

• Verify labor, expenses, materials, and other billable project costs prior to invoice submission

• Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation

• Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner

• Assist with accounts receivable activities, payment tracking, and account reconciliation as needed

• Generate billing reports and provide updates to internal stakeholders

• Support continuous improvement of billing processes and procedures

Qualifications

• 3+ years of billing, project accounting, or invoicing experience

• Experience with detailed customer invoicing in a project-based, professional services, consulting, engineering, construction, or similar environment

• Strong understanding of purchase orders, project costing, and contract billing requirements

• Experience partnering with Project Managers and cross-functional teams

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems

• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
