Job Summary:

This role involves providing direct nursing care in environments where patients require intricate assessments and interventions, adhering to the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our organization.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather comprehensive information relevant to the health care consumer's condition.
  • Prioritize and optimize patient flow by triaging based on age, developmental stage, and cultural sensitivity, ensuring immediate care for those in urgent need.
  • Evaluate assessment data to identify diagnoses or issues.
  • Establish expected outcomes tailored to the individual health care consumer or situation.
  • Implement, coordinate, and educate to foster health and maintain a safe practice environment.
  • Assess progress towards achieving outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively across various formats in all practice areas.
  • Exhibit leadership within the professional setting and the nursing field.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills that reflect current nursing practices.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge in emergency nursing, ensuring care is aligned with the patient's age-specific and clinical needs as outlined in the department's Scope of Service.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.

EXPERIENCE

  • No prior experience necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly use speech for oral communication.
  • Consistently stand and walk.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasionally assist in moving patients.
  • Engage in bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.
  • Occasional driving may be required.
  • Rarely crawl or run.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
