Opportunity Overview

Neurologist, Neuro-Palliative - Berkeley, Castro Valley, CA

Our organization is looking to recruit a full-time Neurologist to become part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine in a supportive environment.

The selected candidate will engage in general neurology while also establishing a neuro-palliative practice.

  • Position offers 0.8-1.0 FTE

  • Mainly an outpatient clinic role focused on general neurology

  • Group call is exclusively telephonic and shared among 8 neurologists

  • Optional neurology hospital consultation service available (Alta Bates Summit Medical Center)

  • One day in Castro Valley required, with 2-3 clinic days in Berkeley (specialty hub)

  • One day dedicated to virtual or home visits

  • Excellent work-life balance

  • Part of a multi-specialty medical group

  • Large neurology department where all clinicians practice general neurology and have subspecialty interests, fellowship training, or experience

  • Each clinician is supported by a 1:1 Medical Assistant

  • Access to RN and LCSW support for specific services

Qualifications

  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology

  • Training or experience in neuro-palliative care is essential

  • Must hold an active and unrestricted California Medical License

  • Current DEA license is required

  • While prior experience is preferred, recent graduates are encouraged to apply
