Estimator

Estimator - £35-45k - Weybridge I’m currently working with a growing engineering business looking for an experienced Estimator to join their Machine Shop team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in engineering, manufacturing, CNC machining or estimating who can interpret technical drawings and understand machining processes. The role: + Interpret customer requirements from CAD, technical drawings, specifications and models. + Prepare detailed quotations and bids for subcontract machining and metal finishing. + Work closely with Purchasing and the Machine Shop to establish accurate costs and lead times. + Review margins and make informed bid/no-bid decisions. + Support Production Control and Sales Order Processing with new orders and ERP input. + Work alongside Business Development to provide customer updates on delivery dates and work in progress. Minimum role requirements: + 5+ years’ experience within engineering, manufacturing, estimating or engineering business development. + Strong understanding of CNC machining/manufacturing. + Ability to confidently read and interpret CAD and engineering drawings. + Engineering background gained through an apprenticeship, academic route or time-served experience.
