With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term client relationships, they continue to grow their presence across the UK infrastructure sector.Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a senior leader to take responsibility for the development and performance of their Utilities Division.The RoleAs a senior leadership position within the business, you will take overall responsibility for the strategic development, operational performance, commercial success, and growth of the Utilities Division.You will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop the division, strengthen client relationships, identify new opportunities, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.Key responsibilities will include:Providing strategic leadership across the Utilities DivisionTaking responsibility for the overall performance and growth of the divisionDeveloping and implementing the division's commercial and operational strategyIdentifying and securing new business opportunities within the utilities and infrastructure sectorsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholdersOverseeing the successful delivery of multiple utilities and infrastructure projectsProviding leadership and direction to operational, commercial, and project teamsManaging divisional budgets, forecasts, commercial performance, and profitabilityIdentifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and maximise marginsSupporting tendering and pre-construction activitiesEnsuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, quality, health & safety, and environmental requirementsManaging key risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in placeDeveloping and mentoring senior members of the teamWorking closely with the wider Board and senior management team on business growth and strategic initiativesThe Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have:Proven senior leadership experience within utilities, civil engineering, infrastructure, or a closely related sectorA strong track record of managing and growing a business division or operational functionSignificant experience delivering complex infrastructure projectsStrong commercial and financial management experienceProven ability to develop client relationships and generate new businessExcellent understanding of the UK utilities and infrastructure marketStrong leadership and people-management skillsExperience managing multidisciplinary teamsExcellent commercial awareness with a strong understanding of project profitability and riskStrong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skillsA strategic and entrepreneurial approach to business development and growthRelevant construction, civil engineering, or commercial qualification would be advantageousFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary of £90,000 - £125,000Excellent benefits packageSenior leadership position with genuine responsibility for divisional growthOpportunity to shape and develop an established Utilities DivisionSignificant exposure to major infrastructure and utilities projectsLong-term career progression within a growing businessOpportunity to work directly with senior leadership and Board-level stakeholdersSupportive and forward-thinking working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
