The college is continuing to grow and develop its Construction curriculum and is looking for passionate, industry-experienced individuals who can help develop the provision and contribute towards becoming a centre of excellence.

The Role\n

\n

As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of programmes up to Level 3, including:

  • Full-time study programmes

  • Adult learning programmes

  • Apprenticeships
  • \n
\n

Teaching will take place in both workshop and classroom environments, supporting learners to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for employment and progression within the electrical industry.

You will inspire and motivate learners, create engaging learning experiences and contribute to outstanding student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment within Electrical Installation up to Level 3
  • \n
  • Prepare learning materials and schemes of work
  • \n
  • Mark and assess learner work in line with awarding body requirements
  • \n
  • Monitor, track and review learner progress
  • \n
  • Set SMART targets to support student achievement
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of learner attendance, behaviour and achievement
  • \n
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities
  • \n

About You\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
    \n
  • A Level 3 qualification or above in Electrical Installation or a related discipline
  • \n
  • Significant industry experience within the electrical sector
  • \n
  • A passion for supporting and developing learners
  • \n
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • \n
  • The ability to engage and motivate students from a range of backgrounds
  • \n
  • A teaching qualification and Assessor Award, or a willingness to work towards achieving these qualifications
  • \n
\n
