Our client is a growing, data-driven organisation that has experienced significant expansion over recent years and is continuing to invest heavily in its technology and data capabilities.

With a wealth of data available across multiple business systems, they are looking to appoint a Data Engineer to support the development of their data platform and help drive a more data-led approach across the organisation.

Working closely with the Lead Engineer, the Data Engineer will play a key role in developing the organisation's data warehouse, enhancing data integration capabilities, and ensuring data is accessible, reliable and capable of delivering real business value.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions.
  • \n
  • Develop and support data warehouse architectures and ETL processes.
  • \n
  • Create robust integrations and APIs between business systems and data platforms.
  • \n
  • Transform, cleanse and optimise data to support analytics and reporting requirements.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • \n
  • Monitor and improve data performance, reliability and automation.
  • \n
  • Support data governance, security and compliance best practices.
  • \n
  • Diagnose and resolve data-related issues to ensure platform stability.
  • \n
  • Maintain detailed documentation for data architecture, processes and standards.
  • \n
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practice within data engineering.

About You\n

We are keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a Data Engineer or similar data-focused role.
  • \n
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python.
  • \n
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
  • \n
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive, inquisitive approach and a genuine passion for data.
  • \n

Desirable:

  • Experience maintaining and supporting APIs across multiple applications.
  • \n
  • Exposure to modern analytics and reporting platforms.
