Multi-Skilled Engineer (Evening Shift)

MS688 - Multi-Skilled Engineer (Evening Shift) Location: LintonSalary: £ Competitive Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, responding to breakdowns, and identifying opportunities to continuously improve performance across the site.Hours: Evening Shift Mon – Fri 5.30pm to 2am 40 hours per week.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability
\n
• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and faults
\n
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues
\n
• Supporting and maintaining site services, including boilers, water systems, cooling, and fabrication equipment
\n
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
\n
• Recording all maintenance work accurately using a computerised maintenance system (CMMS)
\n
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth site operations
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• Recognised Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
\n
• Strong experience in a similar engineering/maintenance role
\n
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
\n
• Good working knowledge of: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLC systems
\n
• Strong mechanical skills with electrical understanding
\n
• Confident using computer systems and maintenance software
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
\n
