M&A Contingent Workforce Specialist - 9 months contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contingent Workforce Specialist to support a high-profile Merger & Acquisition (M&A) integration project. This is a hands-on operational role focused on the assessment, management, migration and compliance of contingent workers throughout a critical business transition.

Reading based - 3 days in office

£300 - £350 per day

Working closely with Contingent Workforce leadership, HR, Procurement, suppliers and MSP partners, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful transfer and ongoing management of contingent workers with minimal disruption to business operations.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in complex transformation environments and has previous experience supporting contingent workforce activities during mergers, acquisitions, divestitures or large-scale organisational changes.

Key ResponsibilitiesM&A Workforce Assessment & Operations\n

  • Gather, validate and maintain contingent worker data from acquired entities.
  • \n
  • Support workforce due diligence activities and respond to business data requests.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate workforce trackers, status reports and issue logs.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with Contingent Workforce Leads, suppliers and MSP partners regarding worker status, classification and onboarding requirements.
  • \n
  • Support the migration of contingent worker populations into HRIS and/or VMS platforms.
  • \n
  • Execute administrative activities including:\n
      \n
    • Updating worker records
    • \n
    • Monitoring compliance documentation
    • \n
    • Tracking contract renewals and tenure
    • \n
  • \n
  • Provide tailored support for sensitive workforce matters and escalations.
  • \n
  • Assist with the compliant setup and transition of workers through MSP programmes.
  • \n
  • Coordinate contingent worker onboarding and orientation activities.
  • \n
  • Produce weekly project updates, status reports and operational summaries.
  • \n
Compliance & Risk Management\n
    \n
  • Support reviews of worker classifications, tenure and market rate benchmarking.
  • \n
  • Identify potential compliance risks and escalate issues to leadership.
  • \n
  • Assist with supplier transition activities, including migrations to preferred suppliers or MSP models.
  • \n
  • Coordinate background screening and compliance checks in line with organisational policies.
  • \n
  • Help ensure workforce data integrity and adherence to contingent workforce governance standards.
  • \n
RequirementsEssential\n
    \n
  • 3+ years' experience in contingent workforce operations, MSP, VMS, supplier management or workforce administration.
  • \n
  • Proven experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business integrations or workforce transition projects.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of contingent workforce compliance, worker classification and contractor risk management.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel and data reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Experience managing large volumes of workforce data and maintaining accurate reporting.
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n
  • Experience working cross-functionally with HR, Procurement, Talent Acquisition, Legal and external suppliers.
  • \n
Desirable\n
    \n
  • Experience using leading VMS platforms such as Beeline, SAP Fieldglass or similar systems.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of contingent workforce programme management and MSP operations.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting global or multi-country workforce transitions.
  • \n
