Service Advisor

Our client, a reputable family-run main dealership in Northampton, with over 20 years' experience in the motor trade, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join their friendly and supportive team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor to develop their career within a well-established dealer group committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Duties of a Service Advisor:\n

\n
• Serve as the first point of contact for all service customers, providing a welcoming and professional experience
\n
• Handle customer enquiries efficiently in person and over the phone
\n
• Book vehicles in for service, MOT, or repairs accurately and record all information correctly
\n
• Liaise with the workshop team to provide updates on vehicle progress
\n
• Explain maintenance work, costs, and timescales clearly and transparently to customers
\n
• Proactively promote additional products and services such as service plans, warranties, and accessories
\n
• Process invoices, payments, and warranty documentation with attention to detail
\n
• Manage aftersales administration, including warranty claims and follow-up calls
\n
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and retention, ensuring a seamless customer journey
\n

Requirements of a Service Advisor:\n

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the motor trade
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure within busy service schedules
\n
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and IT proficiency
\n
• A proactive attitude with a focus on up-selling and achieving targets
\n
