Role: Senior Salesforce Developer

About the Role

\n

Our client, a leading FTSE-100 company, is in the midst of a greenfield Salesforce implementation and is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to help design, develop and maintain complex Salesforce automations and integrations. You will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while collaborating with the internal team comprising architects, administrators, business analysts, and wider technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Design, Build & Maintain Integrations and Automations
  • \n
  • Collaborate with architects and technical teams to design complex Salesforce automations and integrations.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems such as ERP, websites, PIM platforms, finance systems, and other third-party applications.
  • \n
  • Support the transition from point-to-point integrations to a strategic integration platform such as MuleSoft.
  • \n
  • Design and build advanced Salesforce solutions using Flows, Apex, Platform Events, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • \n
  • Create custom user interfaces when standard Salesforce functionality or third-party applications are insufficient.
  • \n

Security & Governance

\n
    \n
  • Ensure secure development practices and maintain high-quality coding standards.
  • \n
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce platform enhancements and integration best practices.
  • \n
  • Support security reviews and participate in regular penetration testing activities.
  • \n
\n

Documentation & DevOps

\n
    \n
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation specifications.
  • \n
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and Salesforce DevOps practices.
  • \n
  • Review code and mentor junior developers to ensure delivery quality and consistency.
  • \n
\n

Cross-Functional Collaboration

    \n
  • Work closely with Architects, Salesforce Administrators, Business Analysts, internal technical teams, and external vendors.
  • \n
  • Deliver scalable, reliable, and secure Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • \n
\n

Required Skills & Experience

\n
    \n
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • \n
  • Strong expertise in: \n
      \n
    • Apex
    • \n
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • \n
    • Salesforce APIs and Integrations
    • \n
    • Platform Events
    • \n
    • Complex Salesforce Configuration
    • \n
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model and platform architecture.
  • \n
  • Proven experience delivering event-driven integrations.
  • \n
  • Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft.
  • \n
  • Ability to determine when to use declarative solutions versus custom development.
  • \n
  • Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira.
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce DevOps practices.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers.
  • \n
