Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer – DV Cleared – 12 months - Up to £550 per day Outside IR35 – 4 days onsite in Central London

FryerMiles are working with a brilliant Defence consultancy to recruit an experienced Full Stack Developer for a 12 month contract supporting a major Defence Intelligence programme.

You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering a modern, secure solution combining user-centred design, workflow orchestration, cloud-native technologies and integration with existing MOD systems and tasking processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications using Python, TypeScript and React
\n
• Build modern, intuitive and responsive front-end applications
\n
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs and microservices
\n
• Integrate applications with existing MOD systems and data sources
\n
• Support the development of AI-enabled, knowledge and semantic search capabilities
\n
• Develop workflow and tasking functionality to reduce manual processes
\n
• Work alongside UX, platform, data and AI specialists
\n
• Contribute to automated testing, code reviews and CI/CD
\n
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code within a secure Defence environment
\n

Essential Experience

\n
• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer
\n
• Strong Python development experience
\n
• Strong TypeScript experience
\n
• Strong React experience
\n
• API and microservices development
\n
• Experience with modern cloud-native development
\n
• Git, automated testing and CI/CD
\n
• Experience working within Agile multidisciplinary engineering teams
\n

Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, semantic search, knowledge graphs, Docker, Kubernetes or Defence/National Security programmes would be advantageous.

Security Clearance Candidates must hold active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance to be considered for this position.
