Reed Education is working with a welcoming secondary school to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or experienced supply teachers looking for a rewarding role within a supportive school environment.

We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience working in a school setting as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or Supply Teacher is desirable
\n
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
\n
• Confidence leading a classroom and supervising students across KS3 and KS4
\n
• A positive and adaptable approach to working within different departments
\n
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
\n
• The ability to follow lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged in learning
\n
• A flexible and professional attitude
\n

The Role

\n
• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
\n
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities provided by teaching staff
\n
• Maintain a positive and focused learning environment
\n
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
\n
• Support students in completing set work and achieving lesson objectives
\n
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
\n
• Work across a variety of subject areas as required by the school
\n
• Support the wider school community and uphold school standards
\n
