Senior Estimator

£90,000 – £110,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join the commercial team of a highly successful and well-established property developer delivering one of the most significant regeneration projects currently underway in London.

The project forms part of a £2.8 billion masterplanned development, which will transform a major London site into a vibrant mixed-use destination incorporating residential, commercial, retail, leisure and extensive public realm.

This is a genuinely long-term opportunity to join the project at a key stage and play a major role in shaping the commercial strategy and delivery of the development.

As Senior Estimator, you will work closely with the Commercial, Development, Design and Construction teams, taking ownership of estimating and cost planning across a range of major packages.

You will be involved throughout the pre-construction and procurement process, providing detailed cost advice and supporting key commercial decisions across the development.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed estimates, cost plans and budgets
\n
• Reviewing designs and specifications to identify commercial opportunities and risks
\n
• Producing cost estimates from early feasibility through to tender
\n
• Managing and analysing subcontractor and supplier tenders
\n
• Undertaking detailed cost and value engineering exercises
\n
• Supporting procurement strategies and package development
\n
• Working closely with Design, Development, Commercial and Construction teams
\n
• Monitoring market conditions, material costs and construction rates
\n
• Providing accurate cost information to support development and investment decisions
\n
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and project forecasts
\n

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and pre-construction, ideally gained within a developer, main contractor or consultancy environment.

You will have:

• Strong experience as an Estimator / Senior Estimator
\n
• Extensive pre-construction and cost planning experience
\n
• Experience working on major residential, mixed-use or regeneration schemes
\n
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, procurement and subcontractor markets
\n
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills
\n
• The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical information
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
• Experience working on large-scale developments would be highly advantageous
\n
