SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant Are you an aspiring educator looking to gain full-time paid teaching support experience for the academic year, before progressing into a permanent teaching support role? Engage Education are working with multiple SEN schools departments in the Salford area who are eager to secure fantastic Apprentice Teaching Assistants to provide outstanding 1:1 & small group SEN support to children with complex learning difficulties. SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant – Role Information: * Conducting specifically tailored 1:1 & small group support for children with SEN * Creating warm and inspiring atmosphere for children throughout school day * Creating and sustaining meaningful rapport with students * Communicating with colleagues and reporting to school SENCO * Located in one Rochdale secondary school for full academic year SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant – Benefits: * Paid £60 – £75 per day during term time * Monday to Friday role from September 2026 to July 2027 * FREE online CPD courses across array of subjects * Guaranteed TA qualification pending completion of 11 month course * Option to join school permanently pending course completion SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For: * Experience supporting children in any capacity * Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience graduates desirable * Naturally outgoing and engaging individual with interest in teaching * Enhanced DBS on update service desirable but NOT mandatory * Open to full-time work beginning September 2026 * School based experience If you’re interested in this fantastic SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant role in Salford, email Alex Glover at Engage Education or apply for this role
