CAD ENGINEER My client is looking for a talented and detail-focused CAD Engineer to join a growing engineering team and play a key role in transforming creative concepts into products that can be accurately manufactured, installed and delivered to customers. Every drawing you create provides the blueprint for production and installation. Your attention to detail will help ensure components fit correctly, projects meet the required technical and safety standards, and customers receive exactly what they expect. You'll work alongside experienced designers, engineers, manufacturers and installation teams, contributing to a collaborative environment where quality, accuracy and practical problem-solving are highly valued. The Role My client is looking for an organised, detail-focused CAD Engineer who enjoys combining technical precision with practical problem-solving. Working under the guidance of the Director of Design & Engineering and Engineering Team Leader, you'll collaborate closely with production and installation teams to ensure drawings and technical information are accurate, issued on time and aligned with project requirements. This role would suit someone who enjoys learning, takes pride in producing high-quality work and wants to develop within a growing engineering team where every project presents a new challenge. What You'll Be Doing Producing detailed 3D models, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks Creating accurate production drawings to support manufacturing and installation Reviewing drawings against project specifications to identify and resolve potential issues before production begins Designing in accordance with relevant technical, safety and industry standards Producing manufacturing lists, component schedules and supplier order information Supporting the preparation of technical information used within project quotations Updating drawings and technical documentation as project requirements evolve Working closely with production, procurement and installation teams to ensure projects run smoothly Managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy Responding positively and efficiently to design amendments and specification changes Contributing ideas that improve processes, efficiency and engineering quality Taking ownership of your work and ensuring technical information is accurate, consistent and reliable What Makes You a Great Fit My client is looking for someone who enjoys precision, takes ownership of their work and understands that attention to detail can make a significant difference to the success of a project. You'll thrive in this role if you: Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Have strong SolidWorks experience and enjoy creating detailed engineering drawings Can confidently interpret both 2D and 3D technical drawings Have excellent attention to detail and naturally spot inconsistencies Enjoy solving technical challenges and finding practical solutions Are highly organised and able to prioritise multiple projects Can accurately interpret measurements, specifications and technical information Adapt quickly when project requirements change Communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation Take pride in producing work that is accurate, consistent and reliable Enjoy working collaboratively while taking ownership of your own responsibilities Working Pattern Full-time Monday–Friday Following your initial training period, there is the opportunity for up to two days of hybrid working each week.
