Senior Finance Business PartnerManchester (2 days per week)Up to £90,000 + bonusAn ambitious, private equity-backed organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner into its Manchester-based finance function.This is a high-impact role for a finance professional who enjoys operating beyond traditional reporting and wants to be closely involved in the commercial direction of a business. You'll take ownership of the finance partnering relationship with significant business areas generating approximately £50m of revenue, working closely with senior operational and commercial stakeholders to improve performance, profitability and decision-making.What will you be doing?You'll become a trusted finance adviser to senior leaders, using financial and commercial insight to challenge performance, identify opportunities and support better business decisions. Responsibilities will include:Taking ownership of the financial relationship with major business areas, providing insight into performance, margins, profitability and key drivers.Developing meaningful management information and analysis, translating financial data into clear recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring financial plans reflect the underlying commercial strategy.Supporting senior stakeholders with pricing, remuneration, resource planning and other commercially important decisions.Partnering with operational and resourcing teams to understand demand, capacity and workforce requirements.Playing a key finance role in the integration of newly acquired businesses, helping to establish consistent reporting, KPIs, processes and controls.Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and ways of working across the wider organisation.Leading finance-related projects covering areas such as systems implementation, process improvement, training and new methodologies.Developing and managing a high-performing finance team, including individuals who join the organisation through future acquisitions.Acting as a visible and influential member of the wider Finance function, contributing to the continued development of the Group.What are we looking for?We're looking for a qualified finance professional with significant post-qualification experience and a strong track record of working alongside senior commercial and operational stakeholders. You're likely to bring:ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent professional qualification.Significant experience within a commercial finance, FP&A or senior business partnering environment.Previous experience managing and developing finance professionals.Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capability.Experience working with ERP or other financial systems, with an appetite for improving processes and reporting.The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and influence decisions through clear, commercially relevant financial insight.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex financial information accessible.A structured, pragmatic approach and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Why consider the opportunity?This is much more than a traditional finance partnering position.
