HGV Technician

HGV Technician Required!Our client is an established UK and international haulage company, operating a modern fleet of HGVs and trailers from a busy in-house workshop.On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing the company fleet, alongside supporting external third-party vehicles.Package:Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm / 10am-7pm rotating shiftsEvery other Saturday, 7am-2pm£40,000 - £50,000 DOEOvertime availableCompany PensionOn-site ParkingHGV Technician - Responsibilities:Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailersComplete servicing, repairs and general mechanical maintenanceCarry out mechanical and electrical diagnostics and fault-findingPrepare vehicles to the required standard for MOT testingIdentify and rectify faults efficiently to minimise vehicle downtimeComplete all required maintenance records, paperwork and job sheetsEnsure all work is completed in line with company safety and compliance standardsWork independently while supporting the wider workshop teamHGV Technician - Requirements:Qualified HGV Technician/Mechanic with NVQ Level 3 or equivalentApplicants without formal qualifications will be considered with a proven track record of relevant professional experienceMinimum of 3 years' experience working on HGVs and trailersStrong mechanical knowledge with experience in diagnostics and fault-findingSelf-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and a proactive approachClass 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) HGV Licence preferred but not essentialStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
