Children's Team Manager - Safeguarding

Our Client, Bolton Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children's Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

\n
• Providing supervision, support, and direction to social workers.
\n
• Managing safeguarding referrals and ensuring timely risk assessments.
\n
• Overseeing child or adult protection investigations.
\n
• Making decisions on complex and high-risk cases.
\n
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
\n
• Chairing or contributing to strategy meetings, case conferences, and reviews.
\n
• Monitoring caseloads, performance, and quality of practice.
\n
• Supporting staff development, training, and wellbeing.
\n
• Working with partner agencies such as police, health services, education, and housing.
\n
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring reports are completed to required standards.
\n
• Escalating safeguarding concerns and managing risk appropriately.
\n
• Contributing to audits, inspections, and service improvement initiatives.
\n

Requirements of this role:

\n
• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
\n
• Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
\n
• Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker in a similar team
\n
