\n \n Strategic Supply Chain Officer Location: Warton, LancashireWorking Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days on site per weekPay Rate: £26.07 per hour PAYE or £34.99 via umbrella (inside IR35)Contract: ContractEmployer: BAE Systems About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Strategic Supply Chain Officer to join BAE Systems at their Warton site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to work within a high-profile engineering and defence environment, supporting strategic supply chain activities and helping to ensure effective supplier performance, delivery and commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities \n

- Support the development and implementation of strategic supply chain plans and objectives. \n
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders. \n
- Monitor supplier performance, including cost, quality, delivery and risk. \n
- Identify and support opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency and continuous improvement. \n
- Analyse supply chain data and provide reports and recommendations to stakeholders. \n
- Support supplier reviews, performance improvement plans and escalation activities. \n
- Work collaboratively with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, quality and project teams. \n
- Identify potential supply chain risks and support appropriate mitigation strategies. \n
- Ensure supply chain activities are aligned with business requirements and contractual obligations. \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the wider supply chain function. \n

- Previous experience within supply chain, procurement, purchasing or supplier management. \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n
- Experience working with suppliers and internal stakeholders. \n
- Good understanding of supplier performance, cost, delivery and risk management. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. \n
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other business systems. \n
- Experience within aerospace, defence, engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous. \n
