\nWe are looking for an experienced Production Support Labourer / Handyman to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous labouring, handyman or general facilities experience who enjoys working within a professional manufacturing environment.
\nThe business manufactures high-quality aerospace components and is looking for someone to support the day-to-day upkeep of its manufacturing facility, ensuring the shop floor and surrounding areas remain clean, tidy and well maintained.
\nThis role would suit an experienced Labourer, Handyman or Production Support Operative who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation and is happy to undertake a varied range of practical duties.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Maintain high standards of general shop floor tidiness, including sweeping, mopping and emptying bins. \n
- Carry out general housekeeping duties across the manufacturing facility. \n
- Dispose of swarf and scrap metal safely from the factory into designated skips. \n
- Carry out general DIY, maintenance and handyman-type tasks as required. \n
- Complete basic gardening and external maintenance duties, including perimeter weeding. \n
- Provide ad-hoc forklift support as cover for other members of staff when required. \n
- Carry out occasional driving duties to support the wider operation. \n
- Support packaging activities on an ad-hoc basis as cover for other members of staff. \n
- Ensure all duties are completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures. \n
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and comply with the company's 5S standards. \n
- Work closely with production and other departments to maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment. \n
Key Skills
\n- \n
- Previous labourer, handyman or similar experience within a manufacturing environment. \n
- Experience carrying out general housekeeping and practical maintenance duties. \n
- Strong commitment to maintaining high levels of shop floor cleanliness and tidiness. \n
- Practical and hands-on approach to work. \n
- Reliable and organised with a strong work ethic. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team. \n
- Willingness to undertake a varied range of duties depending on operational requirements. \n
- Commitment to safe working practices and maintaining 5S standards. \n
Desirable Skills
\n- \n
- Previous experience within an aerospace, engineering or manufacturing environment. \n
- Previous forklift experience. \n
- Experience carrying out general DIY or basic maintenance tasks. \n
- Previous driving or delivery experience. \n
- Experience supporting packaging or stores activities. \n
