JMB43– Multi-Skilled Shift EngineerLocation: LeedsSalary: £44,460 Per AnnumShift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 OffJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentOverviewFirst Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer – Electrical Bias on behalf of our client.This is a hands-on engineering role within a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for maintaining plant, machinery and site equipment through planned and reactive maintenance.The successful candidate will ideally have a electrical engineering background, supported by good mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.The role operates on a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off shift pattern, meaning you will have approximately 182 days off per year – almost half the year. This makes the position particularly attractive for engineers looking for a strong work-life balance.Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
\n
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
\n
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
\n
• Maintain 3-phase motors, conveyors, boilers, bearings and associated plant.
\n
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
\n
• Complete inspections, maintenance records and documentation.
\n
• Support production and continuous improvement activities.
\n
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Electrical bias with mechanical maintenance skills.
\n
• Electrical fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
\n
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Engineering desirable.
\n
• PLC and automated systems experience desirable.
\n
• Manufacturing, FMCG or industrial experience desirable.
\n
• Armed Forces engineering experience welcomed.
