Manual Lathe Machinist

Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a Rotherham based manufacturer to recruit a large manual lathe machinist to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating manual lathes to manufacture components from engineering drawings and required specifications Role: Manual Lathe Machinist Salary: £15 per hour Shift: Days (39 hours per week) Location: Rotherham Responsibilities of a manual machinist:

• Set and operate manual lathes to produce components
\n
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
\n
• Working to tolerances to maintain quality standards
\n
• Inspect finished components with a variety of measuring equipment
\n
• Comply with health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised working area
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Proven experience operating manual/conventional lathes in a manufacturing environment
\n
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
\n
• Good knowledge of machining techniques
\n
• Competent use of precision measuring equipment
\n
