Location: South Manchester (M21) Pay: £95 – £120 per day Contract Type: Full-time Start Date: ASAP About the Role A vibrant and creative primary school located in Chorlton is looking for an enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed TA—or a graduate looking to gain school experience—to join a supportive, forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 1. Lead small-group intervention sessions in Phonics, Reading, and Numeracy. Assist with classroom preparation, display boards, and learning resources. Promote inclusive learning and foster positive social interactions among pupils. Role Requirements Relevant experience working within a UK primary school setting. Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English & Maths). A proactive, energetic attitude and a genuine passion for early education. Mandatory DBS & Safeguarding Requirements Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Children's Barred List (or willingness to process a new one). Proof of Right to Work in the UK. Minimum of two satisfactory professional references. Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young children
