Integration Engineer (EPR Programme)

12-Month Contract | Inside IR35

Up to £500 per day

London - mostly remote based

A consultancy supporting an NHS EPR programme is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join a large-scale Electronic Patient Record implementation.

\n

This is a key role within the EPR programme team, responsible for designing, developing and supporting healthcare integrations that enable the seamless exchange of clinical and operational data across a complex healthcare environment.

\n

Working alongside application, architecture and supplier teams, you'll play a critical role in delivering robust interoperability solutions while supporting existing BAU integration services.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Design, develop and support healthcare interfaces and integrations
  • \n
  • Analyse, map, transform and validate clinical and operational data flows
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain HL7, FHIR and API-based integrations
  • \n
  • Investigate and resolve interface, messaging and data exchange issues
  • \n
  • Support EPR implementation activities including development, testing and deployment
  • \n
  • Work closely with technical and clinical stakeholders to deliver integration solutions
  • \n
  • Contribute to BAU support, enhancements and issue resolution
  • \n
  • Produce technical documentation, interface specifications and support procedures
  • \n
  • Participate in integration testing, troubleshooting and go-live activities
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare interoperability standards and best practice
  • \n

  • HL7 message mapping and transformation

  • FHIR resource modelling and implementation

  • API development and integration
  • \n
  • Healthcare interoperability and data exchange

  • Data mapping, transformation and validation
  • \n
  • Troubleshooting complex integration and interface issues

Desirable Experience

  • Mirth Connect, Health Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf or similar integration engines
  • \n
  • EPR, PAS or large-scale healthcare transformation programmes
  • \n
  • RESTful web services and modern integration architectures
  • \n
  • Clinical workflows and healthcare data standards
  • \n
