Lawyer

A health and care regulatory body are seeking a Lawyer to join their Legal Business Support team on a seven-month contract.

You will join a team that provides advice on contentious and non-contentious legal issues that affect the organisation as an Arm’s Length Body of Government and as an employer, including commercial contracts and procurement, risk, governance, data protection, equality and employment laws. You will also support with projects, policy developments and corporate complaints.

To be considered, you will have appropriate qualifications and experience as a Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, or equivalent. You will have knowledge and experience of at least one area of law out of data protection, commercial contracts or employment law, preferably in a public sector or regulatory context.

On offer is a seven-month fixed term contract and a salary of £49,358 (FTE). The office is based in Sheffield but offers predominantly remote working with occasional travel to the office (about once a month).
