Would you like the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of a major industrial process plant project, working for a global leader in bespoke machinery and process equipment manufacturing?The Redline Group is seeking a highly motivated Contract EC&I Technician to join our East Yorkshire-based client on a Contract basis, supporting the delivery and commissioning of a large-scale fertiliser production facility. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of the site team, ensuring electrical, control and instrumentation systems are installed, tested, calibrated and commissioned to the highest standards.As the Contract EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and instrumentation installation, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning activities across multiple process systems. You will work closely with Engineering, Construction and Commissioning teams to ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.Key responsibilities for the Contract EC&I Technician, East Yorkshire:Installation, maintenance and fault-finding of LV electrical systemsCable glanding, termination and panel wiring activitiesInstallation, testing and commissioning of motor starters including DOL, star-delta, soft starters and VSDsLoop checking, I/O testing and signal verification activitiesCalibration and testing of pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters and level instrumentationInstallation, testing and maintenance of control valves and associated instrumentationSupporting PLC, SCADA and HMI system fault-finding and commissioning activitiesReading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings and Cause & Effect documentationUpdating redline drawings and maintaining accurate maintenance and calibration recordsWorking in accordance with Permit to Work systems, RAMS and site safety proceduresSupporting commissioning, start-up and handover activities across plant systemsKey skills required - Contract EC&I Technician, East Yorkshire:Previous experience as an EC&I Technician, E&I Technician, Instrument Technician or Electrical Technician within an industrial environmentExperience working on process plants, chemical, petrochemical, fertiliser, power generation, manufacturing or similar heavy engineering projectsStrong electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills on LV systemsExperience calibrating and maintaining industrial instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow and level devicesKnowledge of PLC systems, I/O testing, loop checks and control systemsAbility to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop drawings and technical documentationUnderstanding of Permit to Work systems, RAMS and safe systems of workMEWP licence and commissioning experience would be advantageousExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsIf you are an experienced Contract EC&I Technician looking to contribute to a major industrial project and play a key role in the successful delivery and commissioning of a world-class process facility, we would love to hear from you.For more information or to apply for the Contract EC & I technician, please contact Kieran Pratt, quoting Ref: KDP1061, via email at or call 01582 878832TPBN1_UKTJ
