We're looking for an Senior Architect to join our Architectural team based in Liverpool.Location: LiverpoolHours: 37.5 hours per week some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.Salary: Starting form £40,000 per annumSector: Architecture and Building SolutionsWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.This is a key leadership role within Kier Design's growing Architecture team, offering the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across a diverse sector portfolio. You will take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high-quality design, commercial performance, and successful delivery on site.Working within a collaborative, integrated environment, you will lead and develop teams, drive design excellence, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and technical requirements. You will also play a key role in supporting business growth through client engagement, bid work, and promoting the Architecture discipline both internally and externally.Are youAn experienced Architect ready to step into a leadership role within a multi-disciplinary environment?Confident leading design teams and delivering projects across all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work?Commercially aware, with strong financial, technical, and time management skills?Passionate about mentoring and developing others within a high-performing team?Comfortable representing Architecture at a national level and driving design strategy?Do youLead and coordinate design teams to produce high-quality, fully integrated design solutions?Deliver projects on site, ensuring compliance with cost, programme, and quality expectations?Oversee design, procurement, contract administration, and site delivery across multiple projects?Provide direction, QA oversight, and audit support across all stages of design and construction?Champion Architecture within the business and expand service offerings to internal and external clients?Want to work for a highly regarded Main Contractor, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor?What will you be responsible for?As an Senior Architect, you'll support the delivery of schemes within the Kier Design team, including:Lead delivery of complex architectural projects across all RIBA stagesOwn commercial performance, including budget, programme, and resourcingEnsure compliance with environmental, legal, and regulatory requirementsPlan and manage team resources in line with project workload forecastsLead multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutionsOversee concept and detailed design production, including presentationsAdminister contracts (JCT/NEC) and support delivery through to siteDrive bids, feasibility studies, and planning applications to win workSupport, mentor, and lead architects across the teamBuild client relationships, generate new opportunities, and promote Kier DesignWhat are we looking for?This role of Senor Architect is great for you if you:Excellent architectural design capability with strong technical detailingProven experience leading and managing design teamsStrong knowledge of regulations, procurement, and project deliveryExperience across contract administration, site delivery, and project managementAdvanced BIM capability using Revit / AutodeskDemonstrable experience across all stages of the RIBA Plan of WorkWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
