A leading Professional Services company is seeking a GCP Platform Provisioning Engineer on a contract basis to work on a project with a leading financial client.
\nYou will be needed onsite in Bournemouth 4 times per week.

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). \n
- Proven experience designing, implementing and managing platform provisioning solutions within GCP environments. \n
- Strong experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code). \n
- Strong Python Scripting and automation experience. \n
- Experience with Git and modern DevOps practices. \n
- Experience implementing automated infrastructure deployment and CI/CD pipelines. \n
- Experience using GitHub Co-Pilot and Claude Code to optimise DevOps and software development workflows. \n
- Strong ability to work within a Shell environment (eg Bash). \n
- Demonstrated ability to drive and implement automation initiatives. \n
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies. \n

\nWe are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Platform Provisioning Engineer to join a leading global financial services organisation on a major cloud transformation programme.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to become part of a next-generation multi-cloud engineering team responsible for building and evolving an enterprise cloud platform spanning Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure and on-premise environments.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and managing cloud platform provisioning solutions with a primary focus on GCP, while driving infrastructure automation, Kubernetes platform engineering, and AI-assisted DevOps practices.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Design, implement and maintain platform provisioning and management solutions primarily within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with the ability to work across AWS and Azure environments. \n
- Design, provision and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). \n
- Build, deploy and manage Kubernetes and containerised platforms to support resilient cloud-native applications. \n
- Develop automation solutions using Python and Terraform to streamline infrastructure provisioning and operational processes. \n
- Implement and enhance automated deployment pipelines for cloud infrastructure and platform services. \n
- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Co-Pilot and Claude Code to improve development efficiency and code quality. \n
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and improve platform consistency and reliability. \n
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure using Shell Scripting and command-line tools (eg Bash). \n
- Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture and platform teams to integrate provisioning solutions across the wider cloud platform. \n
- Contribute to the continuous development and evolution of a large-scale enterprise multi-cloud platform. \n
- Ensure cloud environments adhere to security, compliance and operational best practices. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, reliability, scalability and developer experience. \n
