Mechanic

We are currently recruiting experienced Coach Mechanic to join a busy and professional engineering team based near London Heathrow Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for highly skilled coach mechanics or bus mechanics with a background in either electrical or mechanical repairs to join a growing company and enhance their skills.

The role will be shift based working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 12 hour day shifts between 0700/0800 hrs - 1700/1800 hrs.

The Coach Mechanic Role

As a coach mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of buses and coaches ensuring the fleet is compliant with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

You will work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to minimise vehicle downtime and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
\n
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults including accident repairs, minor welding, body and chassis repairs.
\n
• Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks.
\n
• Complete all maintenance records accurately.
\n
• Ensure vehicles meet DVSA and company compliance standards.
\n
• Respond to breakdowns and repair requirements as required.
\n
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Previous experience as a PSV, Bus, Coach, HGV or Commercial Vehicle mechanic
\n
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
\n
• Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
\n
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
\n
