About the Company:

Our client is an established financial planning practice based in Knutsford, Cheshire, providing a professional and client-focused service. They are looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join their team and provide high-quality technical and financial planning support to the Advisers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner with strong report writing skills who enjoys taking ownership of cases and working closely with Advisers and the wider administration team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Paraplanner, your responsibilities will include:

\n
• Preparing clear, compliant and client-focused suitability reports
\n
• Providing technical support to Advisers and assisting with financial planning strategies
\n
• Analysing existing client arrangements and identifying opportunities to enhance current plans
\n
• Supporting cases from initial instruction through to completion
\n
• Working closely with the administration team to ensure applications are processed accurately and efficiently
\n
• Monitoring submitted business and liaising with product providers where required
\n
• Ensuring client files and back-office systems are maintained accurately
\n
• Preparing cashflow models using Voyant
\n
• Conducting research and analysis using Financial Express Analytics
\n
• Preparing for client meetings and completing post-meeting actions
\n
• Producing illustrations, product comparisons and supporting documentation
\n

What We’re Looking For:

The successful Paraplanner will ideally have:

\n
• Strong experience working as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment
\n
• Excellent report writing skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate and client-focused documentation
\n
• Good technical knowledge across life, pensions and investment products
\n
• The ability to analyse existing financial arrangements and provide appropriate technical support
\n
• Experience managing cases through to completion
\n
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• The ability to work collaboratively with Advisers, administrators and the wider practice team
\n

A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable, although candidates without the qualification will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong relevant Paraplanner experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
\n
• Experience using Voyant for cashflow modelling
\n
• Experience using Financial Express Analytics
\n
• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and protection
\n
• Excellent suitability report writing skills
\n
• Good understanding of the end-to-end advice process
\n
• Previous experience supporting Advisers with technical queries
\n
• Strong IT and back-office system skills
\n
