Job Description

This role is an excellent first move into industry for a recently qualified accountant, offering exposure to financial and management accounting, statutory reporting, business analysis and process improvement. Working closely with SLT, you will support monthly reporting, compliance and financial controls, while contributing to strategic decision-making, commercial projects and systems enhancements within a growing international manufacturing business.

Description

    \n
  • Prepare statutory accounts and support year-end audit and tax compliance activities.
  • \n
  • Complete VAT returns and ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls and procedures.
  • \n
  • Produce and review monthly management accounts across group entities.
  • \n
  • Deliver P&L reporting, balance sheet reviews and detailed variance analysis.
  • \n
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reviews and treasury activities.
  • \n
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
  • \n
  • Provide financial analysis, KPI reporting and performance insights to support decision-making.
  • \n
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, commercial evaluations and business performance reviews.
  • \n
  • Drive systems and process improvements, strengthen controls and reporting, and contribute to cross-functional projects.

Profile

\n

A successful Commercial Management Accountant should have:

\n
    \n
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • \n
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving processes.
  • \n

Job Offer

  • Salary between £50,000 and £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • \n
  • 10% performance-based bonus.
